1. Create your menu of services.VAs do just about everything from writing, emailing, customer support, calendar management, bookkeeping, marketing, website maintenance, project management, and more. Focus on the skills you have and enjoy doing. You can offer one service, such as transcription, or you can provide many services.

 

2) Make a list of potential clients.If you have names, list them. However, if you don’t know anyone who may need your services, list possible markets that need virtual support services. For example, Realtors, lawyers or solo-entrepreneurs often outsource work to virtual assistants. You can tailor your business to fit an industry, such as real estate, or provide the same service across several industries, such as email management for speakers and online entrepreneurs.

Because without the right keywords, YouTube SEO is incomplete.

Many keywords have good search volume in google while low in YouTube and some are vice versa.

1YouTube Suggestions

 

The simplest way to find keywords is YouTube Suggest.

You just need to do is open YouTube and enter your main keyword in YouTube Search.

Even before you complete typing your query in the search bar, YouTube will display many search suggestions related to your query.

For example, let’s say you wanna make a video related to tie a tie:

YouTube Suggestion keywords are the best as they have very high Click Through Rate (CTR).

Even I don’t type complete query when I search on YouTube or Google. I’ll probably click on one of the suggestions.

Pro Tip: You just need to put an underscore (“_”) before starting a keyword and it will show you all the words people search before your keyword.

You can even use an underscore (“_”) at the end or in between if your keyword contains more than one word.

From these methods, do multiple tries with different keywords related to your topic and add all suggestions to your list of keywords.

If you’ll be successful, you’ll get 2 to 6 times more views on your video.

This is exactly where “Video Keywords” come into the play. You only need to find these golden terms and insert to your YouTube Video.

I’ll show you how to add these keywords in your YouTube video for SEO purpose, in the later part of this guide. But first we need to find these.

When we search some keywords in Google we usually get websites in SERP.

But for some keywords, when we search them in Google we get videos along with websites in search results.

These are Video Keywords.

More number of video results means more video friendly keyword.

You can generate massive keyword list and then filter the list according to your choice and your need.

4Video Tag’s Extraction

 

You know that If a channel is famous and their videos are getting organic views then it means their videos are properly optimized.

They have used proper keywords in their tags, which you can use to add in your list of keywords.

But how to get these Tags?

This is what I called “Tag Extraction

Here is how you can find.

Install Chrome Extension “Vidiq” to view the tags of channel.

You can copy all tags and filter these to keep only relevant.

You can also search your topic in YouTube search bar and you can also use VidIq to view tags of top 5 or 10 video’s. One thing to make sure here is to search only relevant videos.

5Google Trends

 

Google Trends is simple and contains tons of information to set-up our efficient predictions about user intention.

But do you know you can get keyword ideas related to your topic through Google Trends?

How?

Let me show.

Just go to Google Trend and Search your topic and set filters as shown below.

Scroll down until you see “Related queries” box.

Here you go:

I hope you all know that User intention of a keyword is the real game.

So I would say, go as deep as you can to predict user’s intention before starting any type of SEO or internet marketing work.

All level up SEOs know that finding user’s intention of a keyword is lot more important than looking for its search volume.

Now the thing is how to play with that thing?

Its quite simple just explore any term/keyword and change the search type from “Web Search” to “YouTube Search”.

Same like above two processes, now its time to change category to figure out what type of audience is more interested in your target keyword.

I am selecting “Beauty & Fitness” for my example keyword.

Try checking and comparing results with different options and i am sure your keywords research techniques will level up automatically.

And what is the last thing in YouTube Keyword Research?

You need to check keyword ranking difficulty.

Caution: If your channel is new or don’t have much authority, it’s recommended to target only low competition keywords.

Now the question is how to check which keyword has low competition?

Here is how:

Just search for your keyword or topic in YouTube.

For Example:

Now just check the number of results, It is the amount of videos which are present on YouTube related to your keyword.

So, before selecting a keyword just check the number of results in YouTube and try to choose a low competitive keyword.

There is no exact number of results to indicate keyword competition percentage.

Number of results vary with keyword group for different niches.

You have to check for relevant number of results according to your niche.

I mean you can not compare number of results for two keywords from different niches.

For example, if “cheap cars in USA” has 1050000 results and “cheap computers in usa” has 313000, it doesn’t mean that “cheap computers in USA” is low competition while the other has high.

I’ve also noticed another interesting thing about number of results.

YouTube shows different number of results for same keyword depending on your location.

This means, if you are not in USA and logged in to any of your google accounts, you will not get the competition overview in USA.

YouTube might show less results for your location.

This thing is good in terms of Local YouTube SEO.

1. GTmetrix vs. Pingdom vs. Google PageSpeed Insights

GTmetrixhas the most robust recommendations, like which images need to be optimized in the Page Speed tab(steps 14-16) and using a CDNin the YSlow tab(step 11). It’s also good for finding slow loading plugins if they take a long time to load in the Waterfall tab, or they appear multiple times in your main report. You can also view your time to first bytein the Timings tab.

 

 

 

Pingdom is the most accurate tool for measuring load times according to WP Rocket, and load times are the primary metric you should be measuring (not grades), but there is a correlation.

 

Google PageSpeed Insights is really only good for 1 thing – checking if your server is slow. If you see reduce server response time in your report should consider upgrading to a faster server (step 3). Otherwise it’s pretty useless and there are many articles that explain why. Google recommends a response time of <200ms… you can either fix this by upgrading plans with your current hosting company to include more server resources, or switch to a host who uses faster speed technology (NGINX servers, PHP 7, HTTP/2, solid states drives, Cloudflare).

 

 

 

2. Avoid EIG Hosting (And Godaddy)

 

The same company (EIG) owns Bluehost, HostGator, iPage, Site5, Unified Layer, and over 60 different hosting companies. They are known for cutting costs by packing too many people on the same server (stressing it out) and have horrible reviews because of it. Many websites hosted by EIG have high response times, and I would avoid using these companies at all costs.

 

 

 

How To Tell If Your Hosting Is Slow
Run your site through bytecheck.com and check your TTFB (time to first byte). It should ideally be <200ms. This and reduce server response time in PageSpeed Insights are good indicators.

As an internet entrepreneur, you have to learn to love traffic. In fact, the more traffic the better. I’m not talking about a highway chock-full of cars at rush hour after work… or being stuck trying to get out of parking lot after a concert in a big stadium.

I’m talking about traffic to your website, your landing pages, eBay or Amazon store, your blog, or whatever other online real estate that you have put in place. Think of it this way. Your website is like a store in a mall. Hundreds to thousands of people walk through the mall every day. Each of those shops is vying for their attention. They’re counting on shoppers to see their store and make the decision to walk in and check out they have to offer.

All things equal, the more traffic you get, the more money you’ll make… so the goal is to drive as much traffic to your website as possible.

So how do you make that happen? A variety of ways. You might have a big colorful sign, with window stickers talking about a sale. An employee could be out front handing out flyers or free samples… or personally inviting people in. Your store could have sent out direct mail postcards about a special discount or special event on a certain day. Maybe you have an email list of customers that you communicate with regularly or are active social media and often promote special deals or sales.

You’re going to do the same thing, in a manner of speaking, with your online storefront. Driving traffic is an essential part of any online venture. In fact, it’s the very first thing you must do for creating a profitable and productive marketing funnel for your online business.

Of course, not every “traffic driver” listed below will be a fit for what you do. Some will work like gangbusters; some will be so-so. You never know until you try. And it’s also important to always avoid putting all your eggs in one basket so to speak.

You see, even though one traffic driving tool might be bringing in thousands of qualified prospects one day, you never know what could happen the next. So it’s important to have other sources of traffic, so you have a “backup” and your business doesn’t go under.

A quick example of this is when Google changes their search engine algorithm. This algorithm determines where pages online appear in the search engine results page. Another example is if you’re getting all of your traffic from Facebook or YouTube; then one day for one reason or another they arbitrarily shut down your account.

Speaking of Google, why don’t we start there.

Search engine optimization, SEO for short, can be a key way to drive valuable, qualified traffic to your website. Here’s what I mean. When somebody searches for a topic related to your niche (say you sell videos that help people improve their golf swing and they search for “improve my golf swing”), you want your website or landing page to show up as high in the search results as possible.

Why? Well, the top three results make up 61% of clicks. Anyway, when somebody clicks on the link to your site on Google (or another search engine), they are more likely to sign up for your email list or buy a product.

This “organic” traffic is so valuable because people these people are actively searching for information or solutions to a problem they have. And when they see something that can help them, they are more likely to take action.

You make your site search friendly by including high-quality content and keywords and key phrases in your website copy that relates to your niche. You should also put those keywords in your site title, domain name, description, tagline, blog categories, page titles, and page content (this is “back office” work your web designer can do, or you can do yourself if run your own site).

Ultimately, the name of the game when it comes to search engine optimization is to produce high-quality original content on a regular basis.

This content doesn’t just have to be in the form of text or blog posts. You can create video and audio content as well (video ranks particularly well in the search engines). One thing I always recommend if you are creating video or audio based content is to have it transcribed into text so you can benefit from having text on your website for ranking purposes as well.

Content Marketing

 

This is part of search engine optimization in a way because search engines these days value good content when determining results. Meaning, you can’t just stuff a page with keywords and expect to have a good ranking. You have to create informative articles for your website or blog that search engines find useful. But you can’t stop there. You should have compelling titles and include attention-grabbing descriptions so that they are enticing when they appear in the search engine results. This is what will get the prospect to click and read your full article.

Then you have to follow through and provide a great experience to your reader so that the prospect is ready to take action or find out more about your business once they make it to your site.

The article could highlight best practices in your industry, or offer how-to tips, or discuss certain strategies that fit your niche. Whatever it is it should provide your prospect with valuable free information.

Again, it can’t be overstated that the key to success with search engine optimization and content marketing is to produce high-quality original content on a regular basis.

Get Social 

 

It’s unavoidable. If you do business online these days you have to get involved in social media. A huge amount of traffic goes to social sites and services like Twitter, ​YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook (just to name a few). Millions of people log on every day to these social media networks. Why not take advantage of that and leverage that traffic for your own purposes? Your target market is definitely on social media… and in great numbers.

To do that you should maintain a robust social media presence. Put up a Facebook page for your business. Create a Twitter account. Post videos related to your business on YouTube (for example, if you had that golf swing business, you could post some videos where you show one or two tips).

Here are some best practices for when you use social media.

1. Post Often and Regularly

 

If you have a Facebook business page or Twitter account, you should be active. Post every other day or at least three times a week, if not daily. You’ll have to find what works best for your business. But the idea is to make sure your customers know you are alive, so to speak. They want to hear from you often, so indulge them. And be regular, set a schedule of sorts and follow it. Don’t post one day, then a second, and then not for a week – you’ll lose potential customers. That helps build the relationship between you and your prospects.

2. Be Consistent

 

It’s simple; you must be consistent as far as what you post. Stay on brand and on message and make sure anything you post supports your marketing goals. For example, if you have a site about radio control car racing, you don’t want to post something about your thoughts on politics.

You may want to consider using a social media scheduling tool or outsourcing to a social media management company.

3. Show Value

 

With your social media efforts, you want to make sure your prospects find something useful in what you post. Post how-to tips, valuable information, fun stuff… This will speed up the process of the prospect coming to know, like, and trust you. They come to view you as a source they can turn to when they need solutions.

4. Include Calls to Action

 

This might be the most important part as this is where you drive traffic! Whenever you post something to social media (or at least most of the time), you should include some sort of call to action; an offer or incentive for clicking over to your landing page, blog, or e-commerce site. It might be a sale… or the full text of an article… a free ebook. Whatever it is, this will ensure that your social media audience can actually become a customer.

The goal is to get them off of the social media platform and onto your website to continue them along your marketing funnel or process.

5. Paid Ads

 

Although search engine optimization and the “organic” traffic it brings can be very valuable and you get it free… paid advertising can also be a good source of traffic. And the advantage is that you will get results much quicker. SEO, content marketing, and similar methods take a while to implement… consistent work over time.

With paid ads, you can expect instant traffic to your site. Here’s how it works. You buy a pay per click ad on Google AdWords for example. It will appear at the top of the Google results page for search related to your niche. When people click, they go to your website or landing page – and you pay per click. And it’s not as expensive as you might think. The key part here is to make sure you’re getting a return on your investment in paid ads, that what you spend comes back to you – and then some – in sales.

Quick tip: be sure you include strong attention-grabbing copy and some sort of incentive to click – a free report, discount, or similar.

Other ads include banner and/or text ads on ad networks that post to a variety of blogs and websites and Facebook sponsored posts. The technology behind these services ensures that your ad only appears on sites or near content that is of interest to your target market. That means your ads get in front of the right eyeballs and those people are very likely to click and go to your site.

Note: Don’t get overwhelmed by all of these options. Start with one social network and master it, then add another social network, etc. You don’t want to be completely reliant on just one social media network for all of your traffic but you don’t want to spread yourself to thin when you’re just getting started in the initial stages.

6. Forum Marketing

 

Online forums related to your business’s niche can be a great free way to drive traffic to your site. This is qualified traffic although the numbers will be relatively small. But there’s a right way to go about posting to a forum.

Number one rule is not to spam. You can’t just join a forum related to your niche and starting posting links to your website or offering products for sale. In fact, that’ll probably get you banned. Instead, you become a valuable member of the forum.

Answer questions, participate in discussions, post useful information, comment on industry trends… Depending on how the forum works, you can include a URL to your website in your signature or make your business name part of your username.

Those are subtle ways to drive traffic. Eventually, once you’ve become a trusted part of that forum, you can also be a bit more overt in posting links to your site. Don’t overdo it though.
